Viewing key backup and recovery

Keep an encrypted backup for each account, vault and network. It can restore your viewing key if your wallet no longer produces the same signature. Your wallet still authorizes every spend.

Anyone with this file and its password can read your private transfer history. The file reveals your account, vault and network. Use a unique strong password and store it separately. We cannot reset it. Losing the backup and access to your original viewing key can make funds inaccessible.

This recovery format is experimental and still requires independent security review. Save a copy and test recovery on another browser before relying on it.
